Instance server

    hello,

    i have few instance server on my server i want i want to change my default instance to an other instance on the same server, someone can help me please.

    You can't change a default instance to a named instance. You can install another instance and transfer your databases, logins, linked servers, etc. to the new instance.

    the problem is , i got two (seversql2000,sql2005) the instance, when the server service manager is start , it load the sql2005, but i want that it's seversql2000 it load.

    You have two default instances?

    Are they both on the same port?

    I think you need to explain your setup a bit more because I am confused now.

    You cannot have two default instances. You cannot have two different versions alternating as the same instance.

    Your post doesn't explain which is a default instance and which is a named instance. I realize English may be a barrier here, but you need to explain in detail. As Elliot noted, I'm confused as well. What you wrote doesn't explain the situation, or what you would like to accomplish.
