The Management Data Warehouse is a relational database that contains the data that is collected from a server using the new SQL Server 2008 data collection mechanism. We will discuss configuration, management and reporting from MDW. We will also talk about the SQL Server 2008 R2 Utility and talk about creating a monitoring framework for your database environment.

Bio: Ashish is a Senior Premier field Engineer with Microsoft and have been working with databases (both oracle and SQL Server) for over 10 years. Within SQL Server, my areas of interest are clustering, performance tuning and optimization, reporting services and database design. Over the years I have worked as a database architect, DBA , database developer and have been involved with architecture, design, development and maintenance of different database platforms. Besides delivering other Microsoft services, I also teach various training workshops for Microsoft (SQL Server for administrator’s, Performance tuning and optimization, Reporting services and SQL Server 2005/2008 clustering ). I am a Microsoft certified IT professional (MCITP) and Oracle certified Professional (OCP) .
