Hi everyone,
I am a total noob to SSRS, and am learning creating charts, but when I click on the chart as my book says, I don't see the drop fields (that supposedly appear on the top, bottom, and right side of the chart). Instead I see this:
I am clicking right no the chart where the lines are, twice, and I don't see the drop fields. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

The drop field technique / terminology was SSRS 2005. You have SSRS 2008 ( or R2). Use the box as shown with values and categories.

Thanks Mike, I am reading Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services by Brian Larson. It has a picture of the chart and it has the drop fields on there (on page 224). Maybe in 2008 R2, which is what I am running, this was removed. I guess the Data field in the old SSRS relates to the Value window in 2008 R2, the Category field in the old SSRS relates to the Category Groups, and the Series relates to Series Groups. Thanks again.
