SSRS 2008R2 reports not rendering correctly in scheduled emails sent to iPhones and iPads

  • I recently upgraded a reporting server from 2005 to 2008R2 and immediately ran into some problems with rendering in Safari. I found resolutions to problems with not displaying the report and overlaying divs. Now I am stuck and have been searching for a solution to emailed reports. It seems the Apple email client has the same problem rendering html produced by the reporting server as Safari did. The report has 3 sections that are represented in html divs, when rendered they overlay producing unreadable garbage. If anyone knows a solution or can point me in a different direction to find the answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have not made any changes to the rdl files during the conversion, meaning I have not tried upgrading the report solution and redeploying the rdl's which I think will be my next step... I have read in many places that it should not be necessary.

    Thanks for any information!

  • Can you post some of the html that demonstrates the problem?

  • I can't post the particular report to the public. I will try to reproduce it without sensitive data.

  • i've ran into the same problem before, the work around for me is to display the report in one single page.

    Open Report Properties,

Under Layout, set InteractiveSize = 0in,0in
