SQL 2008 to SQL 2008 R2

    Hi,

    I have replication setup from server A(2008 EE 64 bit) to B(2008 EE 64 bit). Now if I upgrade server B to

    2008 R2 EE 64 bit, will replication work correctly??

    Same scenario for logshipping. Will it work correctly?

    The distributor cannot be a lower version than the publisher, that's the issue.

    If you log ship to ServerB, it will work, but if you failover, you are stuck on 2008 R2. You cannot (easily) move that database back to SQL Server 2008.

    The publisher and distributer are typically on the same instance, in this case the subscriber is the later version which is ok or have I read the setup the wrong way round?
