    Hi Guys,

    From the URL, i can see that for SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, the extended support end is 12/4/2016 and service pack support end date is 10/7/2007. Does it means to get extended support till 2016, we will need to have the latest service pack applied? If not in latest service pack, the support end date is 10/7/2007? I thought for express edition, no licensing is required? Microsoft still providing support on express?

    And also for SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, it is specify as "This Release no longer supported", does it means that MS does not support for 2008 anymore regardless of service pack?

    Latest service pack, a premier contract and an extended support agreement.

    And also for SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, it is specify as "This Release no longer supported", does it means that MS does not support for 2008 anymore regardless of service pack?

    The mainstream support end date on the 2008 version is Jan 2014 (as indicated by the 3rd column)

    For SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, i realise it didn't put the "Service Pack Support End Date" for

    respective service pack. (sp1, sp2, etc)

    If this is the case, is there anyway that I can determine the service pack support end date of SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2?

    From the URL, I can only see the "Service Pack Support End Date" for SQL Server 2005 Express Edition which I believe should be for the RTM version.

    Kindly advise.

    It's already out of support. The entry that you mention is SQL 2005 Express as a whole, and SQL 2005 is out of support unless you have a premier contract and an extended support agreement

    Hi Gila,

    Understand that it's already not supported unless we have premier and extended contract.

    Just want to know is there anyway to find out for SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, what is the "Service Pack Support End Date" for SP2? and probably SP3?

    For documenting purpose.

    Short of calling Microsoft, probably not.

    Why is it important though? The only thing that will tell you is how long they've been out of support.
