Log Shipping to 2 db on same server

    Hi there,

    I want to Log Ship a second standby database on the same server as the first one but increase the time between restores to 1-2 hours. The first database is set to restore every 5 mins.

    But it looks like I'm not getting a second set of jobs created for the 2nd DB.

    Can this be done, has anybody done this already?

    I am curious as to why you would like a standby version of a databases on the same server?

    The first database is for redundancy and the second db is for reporting. They don't want to get kicked out every 5 mins.

    So I thought, Log Ship every 5 mins to 1st db and 60 min to 2nd db. But only get one set of copy and restore jobs.
