Unable to load the SSIS Package

    Hello,

    I am trying to load my SSIS project on BIDS. I am getting the following messag when I try to open the package.

    Unable to load the package as XML because of package does not have a valid XML format. A specific XML parser error will be posted.

    All of my package is reporting the same message.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Looks like you are running SQL Server 2008, what version are the SSIS packages?

    I think it is version 10.

    Nope. That isn't it. I am trying to find out if you are trying to open up SSIS packages that may have been created or upgraded to SQL Server 2008 R2.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    The package was developed on SQL Server 2008 R2. I got a new machine and when I try to open the package i get the error message.
