I've used this command a lot and love it.. .Makes things quicker... however, now I can't do it... is there a setting somewhere that turn this stuff on and off? I'm definitley not an admin....
Thanks
Crusty.

Actually, the CTRL+C works, but only sometimes... Ctrl+K doesn't work at all... CTRL+K+K puts a little blue square next to the line.. that's weird.. never seen that one before...

So, are you saying if you select a line in SSMS and press CTRL + K, C it doesn't comment the line (which doesn't match your subject)? If that doesn't work, which version of SSMS are you using? Which SSMS addins are installed? CTRL + C is likely another problem that I see often when using RDP. The solution to that is to either close your RDP session, or kill rdpclip.exe process on the Guest.

Ok, so I put the wrong one in the subject :doze: you get the idea.
The answer is that I'm using RDP. I didn't know that would cause issues... Up till now I was using a local copy of 2k8R2. VM has 2k5 with an updgrade... STill not 2k8, but should work... it does.. sometimes...

Commenting for me is CTL - Shift - C and CTL - Shift - R to remove. But I'm using SQL 2008 with the keyboard option set to SQL 2000.
