Hi ,
Recently , i upgraded sql 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit STD to Enterprise. The upgrade worked perfectly .I followed the usual steps
of upgrading the OS first followed by sql upgrade.
I have a post upgrade question. Any insight is most welcome.
Prior to upgrade , Sql server 2008 R2 STD was at service pack 1(latest).
Since the upgrade to Enterprise was performed using the setup from RTM edition , are there any additonal steps i need to perform to sync up the enterprise features to SP1?? To verify , I tried to run the SP1 post upgrade but the installation detected that the version was already at SP1.
Thanks in advance.

This really is a question for a Microsoft tech. I don't think you have to re-run the service pack, but as there are features in Enterprise that don't exist in Standard, I couldn't say for certain.
Check the Service Pack details online (i.e., what it covers) to see if it says anything about Enterprise-specific feature updates.
