Remove/Delete Cluster Resource

  Hi All,

  Server : SQL 2005 O.S : Windows 2003. This is a Active/Passive Cluster server.

  I've added a new LUN(X) for backup as the existing LUN (Y)was slow.

  I took Y offline and removed dependencies and then renamed (Y_OLD)it in Resource group. But I wanted to delete it from the Resource group when I tried that it prompted with SQL service and SQL agent services as dependencies on that . so I couldn't delete it from the resource group.

  Bu I could add X with dependencies and renamed it as Y .its online and backups are taking place without any issues.

  But how to get rid of Y_OLD without impacting any resource or services?

  well i could resolve this on my own.

  Removing Y_OLD from the SQl server dependencies did the magic .
