Our server management team will be mounting new luns for a database which is running out of space. After they mount the luns, how can I manually add space to the database?
Do I add space to a specific data file?
I'd really appreciate if some one could explain in little detail.

If the new LUNS are being added as new Drive letters or as mount points within an existing logical drive, then add new files to the database on this new space.
If the additional space is being added via extending the LUN, then you can either grow the files for the database or you can add new files to the database.
