I have a server with 4 processors. Two instanses of SQL Server 2008 R2 is installed on the server. Now I want to dedicate two processors too one instans and the other two to the other instans.
I go to properties of the instanses and select processors, but what value will I use to dedicate the processors to the instanses? Processor affinity mask or I/O affinity mask?

Both is you're trying to isolate one instance from another completely.
