Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.DatabaseMaintenance.TaskUIUtils..ctor()'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.MaintenancePlanWizard).

When i google it something i found that there is version missmatch between sqlserver and client tool (management studio).

    Deatils :

    Engine version :9.0.4035

    Studio version :9.00.1399.0.

    > Is there any work around for this, without reinstalling client.

    > or is it possible to instal only client tools.

  • 9.00.1399 is the RTM version, with no service packs. Why not apply current service packs ?

  • I had the same bug when I first used ss2k5. RTM was sh*te really really hopeless and the tools where even worse! You need to match your tools to your server version. MP's from a RTM version studio never worked!

Your server is SS2005+SP3, so you need to put SP3 on you tolls machine.

Download SS2005SP3 and install it locally. Dont forget to choose the version specific for your OS build.
