Processing Measure Group Partitions and Type 1 Attributes

    Currently I'm using Full Process each night, but I want to move to something smarter.

    If I split a Sales Fact table into say monthly partitions, and a Customer dimension has a scd type 1 attribute that changes (e.g. Surname changes), will this cause a need to reprocess all partitions with Sales relating to that customer?

    You should be OK if you've used a surrogate key for the dim key, you should be able to do a refresh (versus full process) of the dim, meaning this won't invalidate the partitions.
