SQL Server Cluster Setup Failure

  • Hello Guys,

    Need some help!!!

We have a 4+1 SQL Clustered environment, due to some hardware isses Node A died unexpectedly ( not a graceful eviction). We have rebuild the Node A and added to the cluster. Now I need to add a sql instance on this Node A . Rest of the nodes are on SQL SERVER 2008 R2 SP1.

I have tried to run the setup from Node A ( after adding it to the cluster) . I am not able to proceed after the screen where we add Service accounts with the following errors:

The credentials you provided for the sql server agent service are invalid.

The credentials you provided for the sql server service are invalid.

The same credentials are used on the other nodes in the cluster and confirm that all the details of the service account is ok from AD.( not locked, expired, dormant, password expiry.. ETC)..

I request you to kindly help me how to go about.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

    Murali

  • Service account has "logon to" rights in AD to the new node?
