wait_resource file: 6,0 ?

  I'm seeing a sysprocesses.wait_resource = FILE: 6,0.

  Does anybody know what this means? I guess it's waiting on a file ... presumably for db 6 but what does the 0 refer to? There are only file ids 1 & 2 for that db = data & log.

  Wait_type = lck_m_x if that's pertinent.

  Grateful for any advice, I have looked.

  Actually to give context, this is the wait_type for a spid issuing a checkpoint since yesterday that's blocking a large rollback & killing my server.

  it's presumably related to a full tran log but if i switch the log to autogrow (there is space) it too gets blocked by the checkpoint spid.
