sql server feature installation Vs sql server powerpivot for sharepoint

    After installing sharepoint 2010, i tried to install sql server 2008 r2. There i found two options

    1. sql server feature installation

    2. sql server powerpivot for sharepoint

    Can any one suggest which option to install for sharepoint 2010.

    As with most things it depends :

    Do you want:

    1) The SSAS integrated mode install to support PowerPivot for SharePoint --> SQL Server PowerPivot for SharePoint

    2) To install SQL Server to hold the SharePoint content databases etc --> SQL Server features (includes DB engine, SSAS (standalone), SSIS, SSRS etc)
