Upgrading to SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 CU4 in a replication environment

  • Hi,

We are currently on the RTM version of SQL Server 2008 R2 and I want to upgrade both our Production and Repporting servers to SP1 CU4.

I am planning on running in test first but then was going to run it on the Reporting Server as this will be easier to have downtime on and then seeing on how that goes I can schedule the downtime for Production.

So my question is will there be any issue for our transactional replication when our Publisher/Distributer (Production) servers are on RTM and our Subscriber is on SP1 CU4.

Or is this not a good idea. Should I upgrade both together?

    Thanks in advance,

    JayK

Subscriber higher than Publisher/Distributor should be fine.

There should not be any issue.
