Does anyone remember the built-in SQL Server function that takes 'DOMAIN\user' as a parameter, query active directory, and check whether or not that user exists? I know I can create a linked server to do the same, but I can't remember what the built-in function was in SQL server that made it so much easier. Any ideas?
