SCCM table which contains SQL Server version edditions

  • Hi,

i need a list of SQL seerver version and edition and i can't find such a table on SCCM. i specifically need the table which has information about SQL editions, eg Enterprise or Standard, etc.

Anyone knows which tables on SCCM i can check?

i have already tried checking the Add remove programs tables.

  • What is SCCM?

Here you can find info on the different SQL Server 2008R2 editions:

  • SCCM is system center configuration manager, it's a MS product for remote software installation.

It keeps record of all systems with registered software. it's database resides on SQL Server but now the database is not of use to me because i cannot get what i want out.

To cut the long story, i need a script to connect to different SQL server instances so that i can collect information about the version of SQL and editions since SCCM cant give me such info.

  • Ah ok, that makes more sense 🙂

This KB has a few scripts that let you determine version numbers and edition of a SQL Server instance:
