creating linked server in 2008

  Trying to create a linked server using management studio (2008). The server test connection is fine, but when i try and do the same test connection from my local pc's management studio is comes up with an nt authority / anonomous login error. Any suggections would be greatly appreciated. Trying to connect a sql 2005 server to a sql 2008 server.

  Looks like you used "Be made using the login's current security context".

  For that, you need to create a SPN on AD.

  The SQL service on your local PC does not have the SPN on AD. That's why you got "Anonymous error".

  The workaround would be "Be made using this security context".
