upgrading sql 2005 failover cluster on win 2003 to sql 2008 r2(failover)

    i am planning on doing an inplace upgrade of my 2005 cluster/win 2003/x64 os to 2008 r2/win 2003 os x64.

    is there any gotcha that anyone know about. Is there a step by step document on this ?

    make you sure you get all the pre reqs in place as SQL Server 2008 requires a handful of hotfixes etc to install before installing SQL Server itself.

    Any reason why you cant install a clean instance alongside and migrate?

    dont want to fuss with a different instance name etc. Plus i dont have swing hardware currently to do this.

    1. other that msi 4

    2. dot net 3.5

    3. and the filestream hotfix am i missing anything else ?
