Hi Folks
a little confused (again) on SQL Server groups like these (i did not list them all)
SQLServerMSSQLUser$ComputerName$MSSQLSERVER
SQLServerSQLAgentUser$ComputerName$MSSQLSERVER
SQLServerMSASUser$ComputerName$MSSQLSERVER
I just installed SQL Server 2008 R2 and everything is running
The question is do I need to add the Domain Service Log on for all the SQL services to each of these groups?
I remember doing it in SQL Server 2005 for some reason
Thanks
Jim

No. That action should have been performed as a part of the install and is why you see those groups like that.

My followup question is there are no members in any of these groups, so should there be ?
Thanks

No. It doesn't prevent the addition of an account to it, but it should be good to go already.
