log shipping failover

    Log shipping configured for database DB_Test

    Primary instance name (default)= Server1

    Secondary instance name = Server2\2nd

    Now if primary goes down then how to re-direct all .net apps to secondary instance without changing any config in .net code?

    That probably will not work. It all depends how your applications are connecting to the database.
