full text service

    I am using MSSQL 2005

    My s/w is giving an error msg :-

    Full-Text Search is not installed, or a full-text component cannot be loaded.

    I searched for full text component service but there are only 3 services

    Full-Text Search is not installed, or a full-text component cannot be loaded.

    SQL Express

    MSSQL server

    SQL Browser

    There is no SQLServerfulltext serach service in configuration manager..

    so Do i install the fulltext component there?

    and what steps i have to follow??? and where could i get that component for installation purpose???

    It seems that Full text service is not installed, You can do this by running the maintenence mode from Add/Remove Programs and add the FTS component by running the setup again.

    One question which edition you are using?

    do i need to run file SQLEXPR_ADV.EXE for this problem????

    Are you running it on SQL Server 2005 Express Edition? It doesn't support Full-Text Search.

    Is there any another option for full text search on MSSQL 2005 SP2????

    Do MSSQL 2008 support this ??????
