This is a non production issue. I am the local administrator of my machine. But I do not have access to the sqlserver.
Buildin administrator access also removed. I don't remember the SA password.
Is there any easy way to get back the access of the server.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link.
Login failed for user 'XXXXXX\babu.balakrishnan'. Reason: Server is in sing
le user mode. Only one administrator can connect at this time.
I am also added in the local administrator group.
Since I cannot gain the access.
Could you advise what am I missing?
Thanks.

I am getting the same issue.
Login failed for user 'XXXXXX\babu.balakrishnan'. Reason: Server is in sing

Do we need so stop other services running.
I think I am missing something very basic.

Sorry I knew my mistake. SQLserver startup option was already setup with single user mode in the configuration manager. While I try to access using the second method it was throwing the error.
Now I am able to get the access. Thank you very much for your help.
