Visual Studio 2010 schema compare utility

  • We started using schema utility in visual studio and it's returning results which are way off. For instance it reports that developement server is missing some procs, yet when we look in managment studio their are there and are exactly the same. When we downloaded trial version of Redgate's schema compare that utility shows proper results. Anyone experienced this?

  • I've noticed that the schema compare can have issues with whitespace. You might be able to limit some of the issues by ignoring some of the schema compare options in Tools --> Options --> Database Tools --> Schema Compare.
