Standard and Enterprise editions for SQL Server 2008

    Hello, I have Standard edition for sql server, but I need to get Enterprise edition, do I need to update it from standard version? what is the process?

    Safest path is to do side by side installs (even different machines/vms if possible). That allows you to test as much as you want and you still have the old server if the upgrade fails in any way during go-live.

    Oh, this is a new server and we installed standard version and realized that we need now enterprise and wanted to know what is the process, is there upgrade for it?
