Hi all
Sorry to say my technical abilities in sql reach backing up a database only, so bear with me!! 🙂
I work for a charity as an accountant and our sage 200 software uses sql server 2005 we usually create a new company (database) which is the last years accounts before I can start the new year.
I always work on the same live database but the new database sits as a complete snapshot of the year accounts to end of march and is not affected when I start april.
I'm not sure if that explains what I'm trying to do but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry what i need to do is take my live database and make it into a new company (sage 200) / database which then sits there as a database that holds the full year accounts to this point. The live database then carries on into the new year.
