Hi,
I have a dataset that queries a database on a remote server and SSRS is installed on my local machine, this is where I deploy my reports. It appears well when I click on Preview in BIDS and I can also deploy it successfully. However, when I open the report from the browser I get the below error:
The current action cannot be completed. The user data source credentials do not meet the requirements to run this report or shared dataset. Either the user data source credentials are not stored in the report server database, or the user data source is configured not to require credentials but the unattended execution account is not specified. (rsInvalidDataSourceCredentialSetting)
Your help would be appreciated. Btw, reports that use local DBs can be opened OK.

Are you using Trusted Authentication to connect? If you are then you need to be sure the Report Server and the SQL Server are setup properly for Kerberos authentication. K. Brian Kelley has an excellent article on this site that you should lookup and read.
