Hi, I am trying to setup SSRS on my laptop and have installed a default installation of SSRS 2008RS on Win7Pro and have applied the default suggestion within the Reporting Service Config Manager.
However i'm unable to connect using Windows Authentication to the reporting server via Management Studio. I've specified what i believe to be the correct server name: Stuart-VAIO\MSSQLSERVER
Also the web service url: http://Stuart-VAIO:80/ReportServer returns web page cannot be found.
The MS Reporting Service is started and logged on as Local System.
Any assistance much appreciated.

Try without the \MSSQLSERVER.

Hi Jason, specifying just Stuart-VAIO as the servername still doesnt allow connection.
Is there anything in the RS configuration manager i need to pay particular attention to? i have selected the defaulted / applied the default config but normally would expect this to work!
I dont have IIS installed but my understanding is that IIS isnt a prerequisite of the install.

On 2008 IIS is not required.
What happens if you try to connect to this url?
