SQLServerCentral.com Track at SQL Server Connections 2011 in Orlando in March

SQLServerCentral.com will be offering a track at SQL Server Connections, to be held March 27-31, 2011, at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Hotel in Orlando, FL. This is the third time that a SQLServerCentral.com track has been held in conjunction with SQL Server Connections, and the attendance has grown at every event.

SQL Server Connections (which is a part of the larger DevConnections conference), will offer the following:

Sunday, March 27 (Pre-Conference Workshops)

  • Day of Scripting: Plumbing The Depths of SQL Server / PowerShell Integration with Bob Beauchemin
  • The Building Blocks of a Healthy and Available SQL Server with Paul Randal and Kimberly Tripp

Monday, March 28 (Microsoft Day)

  • There will be multiple tracks (DBA, DEV, BI), all presented by members of the Microsoft SQL Server Team

Tuesday and Wednesday, March 29-30 (SQL Server Tracks)

  • There will be three DBA tracks that are managed by Paul Randal and Kimberly L. Tripp, which includes a wide variety of speakers.
  • There will be a single SQLServerCentral.Com track, that is managed by Brad M. McGehee, which includes four different speakers and nine sessions.
  • Attendees will be able to attend any of the sessions in these four concurrent SQL Server tracks.

Thursday, March 31 (Post-Conference Workshops)

  • Indexing Strategies and Analysis with Kimberly Tripp
  • Virtualization and SAN Basics for DBAs with Brent Ozar

Joe_Webb

Joe Webb is the Chief Operating Manager for WebbTech Solutions, a Nashville-based consulting company. He has over 15 years of industry experience and has consulted extensively with companies in the areas of business process analysis and improvements, database design and architecture, software development, and technical training. Joe received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Joe is a six time recipient of the Microsoft MVP award, and has also earned the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certifications. Jonathan Kehayias is a MCITP Database Administrator and Developer, who got started in SQL Server in 2004 as a database developer and report writer. After spending two and a half years working in Transact-SQL, in late 2006, he transitioned to the role of SQL Database Administrator. His primary passion is performance tuning, where he frequently rewrites queries for better performance and performs in-depth analysis of index implementation and usage. K_Brian_Kelly

Brian is a SQL Server author, columnist, and Microsoft MVP focusing primarily on SQL Server security. He is a contributing author for How to Cheat at Securing SQL Server 2005 (Syngress) and Professional SQL Server 2008 Administration (Wrox). Brian currently serves as a database administrator / architect for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. Brad is a frequent speaker at SQL PASS, European PASS, SQL Connections, SQLTeach, devLINK, SQLBits, SQL Saturdays, TechFests, Code Camps, SQL Server user groups, and other industry seminars. Brad is the author or co-author of more than 15 technical books and over 275 published articles.
