How to Migrate SqlServer to Anthoer datasources like orcale,my sql?

    I am using .net applications.Now we are using SqlServer as Database.but now we want to migrate to Other DataSources like My sql,Oracle and so on.

    Please help me Which toolkits can i use, and how to migrate one client application to mutiple datasources.

    It’s a BIG chapter in itself & few guys (consultants) earn their bread & butter just because of it :-D. Please give opportunity to some of those guys, they will guide you better.

    FYI... there are tools available that claim to manage the data migration but IMO none of these tools can help you if you don’t have reasonable knowledge on source & target database (technologies).

    Hi,

    I second what Dev said. For example, Oracle has a 'Migration Workbench' tool, but it presupposes at least a working knowledge of Oracle. If you have that, it's a helpful tool.

    I'm sure that the same applies for the other vendors.
