I have an SSRS 2008 R2 report which I'm having problems with.
The report consists of a number of tables (tablixes), charts etc, arranged into 2 columns. At the top of each column is a table (tablix) with summary figures. Both have 5 rows plus a header row, but the tablix on the right has the last 2 rows empty. The cells are 0.175in high. My problem is that the empty cells shrink so that the tables don't line up. This only happens when viewing the report through the report viewer, it doesn't happen in BIDS or when exporting to PDF.
I have the CanShrink property set to False on all of the cells.
I have tried adding some dummy text to the cells and making it the same colour as the background, and this does work, but I would prefer not to do this as the dummy text will appear in csv / Excel exports. I have also tried adjusting all the settings, e.g. padding, alignment etc but nothing seems to make any difference.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Jenny,
I hope, your problem has been solved in the last year as I still not bringing the solution.
I have the same - actually opposite - problem with the CanShrink property.
My CanShrink and CanGrow is true on the details row and also, the height of this row has been set up as small as possible. (Something like 0.07 cm)
I did this because that was the only way in BIDS to get a collapsing table according to my groups.
The problem is, that the whole stuff doesn't work in the Report Manager.
Is there anyone who have the explanation of this behaviour?
