Hi All
I have created a new Windows 7 virtual machine to install RC0, all good.
Having a problem though when trying to add a user to the distributed relay controller section of the installation.
I have attached the error, just wondering if this is a known issue or anyone know of a fix?
Thanks
Ant

google'd the error code, comes back to something around .Net 3.5 SP1 and computers not in a domain
MS are aware and are adressing the issue before the RTM release
Looks like I'm going to have to either add the VM into the domain (not what I wanted to do) or live without the two features.

Can you share error information please

Yeah I hit this too.
There's a workaround on MS Connect - don't add any users at install time! 🙂
Apparently you can sort the permissions for it afterwards - will lookup the link
Workaround (haven't tried it myself yet): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg471531(SQL.110).aspx

think a install of the two features without any users is in order then to see if that works
hope its not one of them where you need to put in an account to move to the next step of the installation even though it looks like you can on the articles

No, it allows you to proceed with the installation even if no users selected.
Haven't tried the workaround to add users afterwards yet.

yeah thats cool it has allowed to skip, but the VM name in as the Controller (unsure if that is right or if its just a namespace but it liked it)
will try the workaround after its installed and rebooted

Yeah did the same myself, the prompt looked like it was expecting a machine name.
Good luck with the rest!
