Where can I find study material on TSQL query tuning?

  • Anyone know of a good book that includes query performance tuning?

  • Red Gate has one by Grant Fritchey. He knows the subject pretty well, so it's definitely a good place to start.

(There's a link to Red Gate's site at the upper-right of this site, since SSC belongs to them.)

There are also good articles on the subject in the Articles section of this site (menu on the left side of the screen).

  • Actually the Red Gate book is on execution plans. The one on performance tuning is from Apress. Both are linked below.
