reports via portal

Hi,
What are the different ways to provide the reports to end users.
Currently we are running sql scripts and providing report s in excel.
But client is asking , provide reports to end users with reporting requirements that can be requested via the portal, provided via email, via print capabilities.
We are not using SQL reporting services or any front end.
Just wondering how to create reports via portal, please advice.

Is there a reason you're not using Reporting Services? It sounds like it would fit most of your needs.
