Backup duration and recovery

    Hi,

    If any of the full database backup takes 5-6 hours to complete, till what point in time database would be recoverable - a point when backup started or a time when backup gets completed?

    t1...........................................t2

    backup started backup completed

    So does backup contain data till t1 or t2?

    It might be a question with simple answer but very important from recovery point of view for us.
