Hi All,
I ended up with 1 out of 8 databases blocked. When I ran the SP_WHO2, I found that the database in question and the "master" database all had processes blocked. Below is the SPID info that appears to be the blocking SPID. Also, when I ran a script to find out the oldest transaction in the database in question, it was an "Alter Index". Any ideas why this happened or what I can look for in the future should this occur again?
BACKUP LOG [Solovue_Homart] TO DISK = N'D:\SQL 2008 Backups\Solovue_Homart\Solovue_Homart_backup_2011_07_19_070001_1690266.trn' WITH NOFORMAT, NOINIT, NAME = N'Solovue_Homart_backup_2011_07_19_070001_1690266', SKIP, REWIND, NOUNLOAD, COMPRESSION, STATS = 10
Thank you,
Mike
