INSERT special character

  All,

  Can you please help me with this. I am just trying to insert the word "Don't" in varchar column but I am having problem with this because of the character " ' " in "Don't".

  You have to add an extra ' to make it work.

  select 'don''t'

  --edit sadly a typo in so few words. 🙂

  You can also avoid doubling-up your single quotes by using the CHAR function:SELECT 'don' + CHAR(39) +'t'
