Access the network through MsSql

    Dear,

    I have installed a default instance and a named instance. I can connect locally but two in the network only on the default instance. What could be? Since I released the two on the firewall.

    Check your windows firewall to make sure that TCP 1433, 1434 and UDP 1434 are enabled. The Default port that SQL Server communicates on is TCP 1433. For sql browser to work, he needs UDP1434. Also, go into SQL Server Configuration Manager to determine for 100% what ports your sql server instances are listening.
