Hi All,
I am facing an interesting problem while accessing the SSRS(2008) URL. The issue is as follows.
When I try to access the report manager(or report server) by clicking the link present in the reporting services configuration manager, I am able to access it but if I copy and paste the same in another tab, it deos not work!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated :-).

I am curious to see the error message if one is present.

The problem is, it does not show any error messages when copy paste the URL. I takes me to a default page saying the web page does not exist. Where as when I click on the link present in the RS configuration manager, it opens the report manager home page, where I am able to navigate normally and view deployed reports!!!

SOMETHING is different. I think you just need another pair of eyes.

well, are you sure that url is correct when you put in web browser?

No, thats what is so funny about it.
I am just coping and pasting the URL from one tab to other. And It does not work!!!
I typed the exact link, it did not work.
I tried with the ip, it did not work.
It works only when I click on the link present in RS configuration manager!!!

the web page error is happening when do you try access the rs from client?

No, at the moment the project is under development. And everything is in my laptop only. Once this issue is fixed then only, I will be able to provide access to rest of the guys.

Does the URL wrap onto another line? Are you missing something because of a line wrap?

When you copy the url, are you trying to right click the url and selecting the option "Copy Link" in IE?

When you are able to successfully open a URL from clicking it in the Config tool, have you tried copying and pasting that successful link into a new tab and testing that?

No. not at all.
Lets assume it is, then what is going wrong when I copy-paste the URL which is showing the report manager(which I have got by clicking on the configuration manager link).

Yes, that's what I tried initially(even now). But, no luck.
