Why oh Why did they do it this way?

    So my company has decided it would like to building reports in SSRS. WOOT. Good news.

    However, the first few people who did it use Report Builder 2.0 instead of BIDS. So now, I am wondering how to find the files in BIDS so I can pull them into it and use the templates we will be designing.

    Additionally, does anyone have any really good articles on the differentce in Report Builder 3.0 and BIDS 2008 R2?

    This tool can pull RDL files off of a report server and create a Visual Studio (same thing as BIDS) project for you:

    Someone else on this forum posted this somewhere else so credit to them for finding it. This tool is excellent. I hope MSFT offers the developer a bag of money to buy the code and incorporates this into the next release of SSRS.
