Hi All,
We want to design performance alert notification such as CPU high usage , number of user connections etc. I have designed the alert and test the DB mail too. Need your inputs how to make this automatically to monitor the resource usage and if it exceeding the threshold value then it should send email notification.

You can set it up from the alert configuration applet, in the "Response" tab.
You can either run a job or email an operator (or both things).

Check to make sure you have a mail profile enabled in the Alert System properties of SQL agent.
Right-click on SQL Server Agent in SSMS, choose properties, then go to the Alert System page. Check enable mail profile and choose mail system and mail profile.

Are you sure that you have exceeded the alert threshold? Set it to an absurdly low number to test the email and then once you've validated that it is working, set it to your desired value.
