Hi,
I am attaching a few screen-shots below:
- the first one, Head.jpg, shows that I have an Execute Package Task --> Loop 1 --> Loop 2 --> ... in a control flow, and I am simply trying to execute "Execute Package Task" by right-clicking it. But as I do so, all loops below it execute first and only then that "Execute Package Task" goes green
- when I go inside each data flow task in those loops, some of them look like in the second screen-shot, dft1.jpg, i.e. seem to be not completed
- but at least one of them, as dft2.jpg shows, does complete landing 35 rows to destinaion, therefore creating duplicates since all those dft tasks are executed down the control flow...
So I guess the question is WHY does it execute something else when I only want to execute one single task of "Execute Package Task"???
Thanks in advance

It would suprise me that right-clicking on a task and selecting "Execute Task" would also start other tasks.

That's the reason I attached the screen-shots)))))
after all, it might be not actually executing those loops but doing some kind of validation there... whatever, it still shows greens and number of records in data flow which creates quite a confusion.
After I cut-and-pasted those loops to be in the sequence container, it seemed to stop that nuisance. Then I removed that container, i.e. rolled back to how it was originally - looks fine, no confusing greens anymore.
so basically a simple "shake-up" seems to resolve it, still a mystery though
