Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to determine or guide me to any articles that discuss the amount of bandwidth used for transmission of stored procedure data to/from SQL server?
We have software that is built around a SQL Server backend. The software accesses and updates database information through the use of stored procedures. I need to know if there is a way to determine an average amount of bandwidth use per Stored Procedure call. Where we will be deploying soon the bandwidth there is not cheap and I would like to provide our client with a general picture of how much bandwidth may be required for our software to operate across their network.
Any insight is appreciated!
Thank you,
Seth

The bandwidth consumed will vary greatly depending on the data being sent. There may be a more elegant calculation but you probably just determine how much data your system is sending and add a few bytes for the packets.
