SSIS connection to SQL 2000 Databases

    Hi !

    With SSIS i am connecting to SQL 2000 Database to run a query against those databases and i was using OLEDB/SQL Native Client 10.0 provider and i even tried using the OLEDB Provider for SQL Server and i was getting the error ..that it couldn't connect .SO Can SSIS connect to SQL 2000 databases ? if so,can some shade light on this issue ???Thanks in Advance 🙂

    I can connect to a SQL 2000 database using either of the providers you mention, so yes, SSIS can connect to a SQL 2000 database.

    Are you trying to do this in a package or in the Import/Export Wizard in SSMS? If it's a package, make sure your connection manager is defined for the correct instance and database.

    If possible, please post the exact message you get when the connection fails.
