dbo rights to disabled sql login

  • Hello,

On the sql server, sql authentication mode is disabled.

    The db are mirrored.

When I tried doing a manual failover to mirror instance using SSMS, it gave me error as: denied permission on database..

The login (windows login) which we use has “sa” rights.. still then we get error

    1.Why?

One of my colleague, gave dbo rights to “sa” (sql auth) on that db

And viola.. we were able to do the activities..

    2. How can dbo rights be granted to “sa”, which is disabled

    Can someone please help..

    Thanks

    K

  • Can you post the full error message?
