Hi ,
What is mean by sos_scheduler_yield ..last wait type ??
when cpu utilization goes to 100 ,i run this query select * from sysprosesses where spid= , the out put with lastwaittype is sos_scheduler_yield ..more than 4 process are running from the same application . All Spid's with same ..
RAM 16 Gb , Windows 2008 , SQl server 2005 64 bit standard edition .
Please help on this

It means the query voluntarily relinquished the CPU because it had exceeded it's execution time slice. Bottom line, your queries are very CPU-intensive and probably need optimisation.
